UB_RLG_19_4_16_005.eip.pNext year the University will be launching its next fundraising and volunteering campaign. It will be innovative and ambitious, cause-led and sector-leading. And you can be part of it.

Our work has already started. Last year we launched our 10,000 Lives appeal, which is aiming to change 10,000 young lives through the support of our donors and volunteers, whether they are funding bursaries or mentoring students. It is one of the first appeals in the world to be measured by the impact (the number of lives changed) rather than the amount of money raised and to authentically include the giving of time alongside the giving of money.

Our next campaign will build on this appeal, broadening to tell the story, in a new way, of how our research impacts on the lives of people locally and globally. It will inspire students and staff across campus – we want them to be part of the campaign at the start and proud of it at the end. It will connect with the city and the region in a new way, creating a new model for civic philanthropy. It will reach out beyond the traditional alumni audience, engaging new funders and donors around the world. It will build upon our philanthropic history and heritage – a reimagining of our founder’s vision.

But most of all it will be delivered by a team of innovative, creative, committed and passionate people. Join us.
