The Director of People is a role intended to inspire, support and develop our brilliant and committed people. You will have to know your stuff, but you will need to know our people even better.

Peter Brett Associates (PBA) is an ambitious award-winning consultancy supporting the construction and property markets. We employ over 700 talented individuals across our 15 offices in the UK and central Europe. We plan to double in size over the next 5 years and we are looking for an ambitious leader for our highly valued People team. Our growth depends on delivering excellent technical and commercial outcomes for our clients. These outcomes are only achieved by confident professionals working closely together with a high degree of interdependent confidence. Our culture and our approach to developing our people are critical in making this happen. As a strategic leader in the practice you will help shape these.

We are already successful in attracting and retaining high calibre planners, engineers and scientists through our people process. As part of our expansion plan we will need you to make use of your market knowledge and professional networks, have an instinct for continuous improvement and take ownership of Practice-wide change management programmes for the benefit of our people.

Strong empathic leadership capabilities, a vision for delivering the best learning and development programmes in the industry, an authentic coaching style, as well as an appetite for visiting and listening to our staff is a high pre-requisite.
