Job opportunities with Harborne Academy

in Birmingham

It gives me great pleasure to write to you as the new Headteacher of Harborne Academy. All the staff and students have made me feel very welcome and I feel privileged to be joining your school community. As Headteacher I have extremely high standards and expectations of myself, the staff and the students. This involves all aspects of school life from effort, work-rate and ethos to conduct, behaviour and manners. I am very much aware of the responsibility that my staff and I have in ensuring that the highest standard of teaching and learning is evident in all areas. I am very proud to lead Harborne Academy, where the focus on inclusion, modelling exceptional learning and teaching, commitment to academic excellence, external partnerships and developing learners as leaders, are the key drivers to improving learner outcomes. At Harborne Academy every learner will be nurtured and inspired to achieve their career aspiration, whilst making a positive contribution on a local and national level. Prior, to becoming the Headteacher at Harborne Academy, I was a Principal across 4 Oasis Academies, all 4 academies were graded outstanding for leadership and management and student behaviour. 2 academies were graded outstanding overall and 2 academies moved from special measures to good overall effectiveness. The department for education awarded Oasis Academy Brightstowe, as the ‘most improved school in the country’ and the Prime Minister visited us. I look forward to meeting you, and to working in partnership with you to achieve a highly successful outcome for your child.
