Welcome

I want you to know I am here and I’m going to support the campaign and do everything I can to make sure there is a lot of positive noise around this school. The amount of support for the school is overwhelmingly astonishing. The parents have mobilised themselves and the way they have acted so quickly and been so supportive of the school is phenomenal.

My job is to make sure the school is shored up and we address some of those areas we need to deal with. There is a definite need for school places because there are a lot of children still here and a growing population of children in this area. Schools are the central place for that community cohesion in rural communities like this and the north of Reading where facilities are a long way away. What’s going on in the classroom, that’s the most important thing. I will be going round every day checking what is happening, to congratulate where it’s going well and helping where people need more support.

Right now the parents are doing an amazing thing with the support they are providing. If we make the children and staff feel good about themselves they will go that extra mile. Parents should be optimistic. The school has the potential to grow — 1,000 students is realistic because of the space and the buildings the school has.

I hope you find the website gives you a flavour of our fantastic pupils and staff. If you’d like to come and see for yourself, please get in touch. We look forward to meeting you.
