The Head of Information, Communication and Technology is a critical role for the strategic development of the organisation informing the Executive Directors of the digital road map for the business, whilst also delivering day to day excellence of our operations. The Role sits within our Senior Management Team and is pivotal to the delivery of our business objectives. We are committed to ensure that the Airport is at the forefront of innovation delivering the best possible experience to our customers and team.

The Opportunity

Job Title: Head of Information, Communication and Technology

Salary: c£50,000

Hays have partnered exclusively with Cardiff Airport in recruiting a Head of IT to join their organisation on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join Cardiff Airport, as you will have the opportunity to lead their technology transformation during a period of significant growth as well as operations at St Athan Airfield.

As the Head of IT, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the IT estate across the airport, capital and operational expenditure and developing innovative IT solutions to improve functionality, performance, resilience and customer experience throughout the organisation.

This role will also see you take responsibility of 5 IT professionals from apprentice to senior level where you will inspire, develop and lead your staff to provide outstanding service to both customers of the airport and internal staff.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have a proven track recording of working in a similar position. You should have demonstrable experience within setting strategic direction of IT, implementing innovative IT Solutions, Leading an existing high performing IT team and a strong technical / IT Infrastructure background including; Windows infrastructure, Microsoft Applications, Cisco networks, Servers, Data Centres, Bespoke Applications, CCTV and VoIP.

This opportunity offers an excellent package which includes Salary: c£50k; Car allowance £6,058 pa; Pension Employer 6% providing employee contributes 3%; DIS X 6 salary; 25 days annual leave p/a as well as the opportunity to make a significant impact on how Cardiff Airport operate going forward.
