This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading and fast-growing professional services firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality tax, advisory, and business solutions. The firm supports a diverse client base, from entrepreneurial businesses to large corporates, and is known for its collaborative culture and forward-thinking approach.
Following significant strategic investment and expansion with the acquisition of a Top 50 firm, the business is seeking an experienced VAT Director to strengthen its indirect tax offering in the North and support its ambitious growth plans.
Your new role
- Leading the delivery of high-quality VAT advisory and compliance services
- Acting as a trusted advisor to a broad portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
- Managing and developing client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth
- Advising on complex VAT matters, including structuring, international VAT, and risk management
- Supporting business development and contributing to winning new work
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing VAT team
- Collaborating with other service lines to provide integrated client solutions
- Ensuring technical excellence and keeping up to date with legislative changes
What you'll need to succeed
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Significant experience at Senior Manager or Director level in VAT/indirect tax
- Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT, with international exposure being advantageous
- Proven ability to manage complex client engagements
- A track record of developing business and building long-term client relationships
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
