About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join our School Trust team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and problem-solving to play a key role in supporting staff and students across our academies.
As an IT Technician, you will provide technical support, maintain systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations across the Trust. This permanent vacancy offers stability, with the potential to start on a temp-to-perm basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, respond, and escalate IT problems via the helpdesk, email, and telephone.
- Provide hardware and software support for staff and student devices.
- Repair and maintain hardware and software installations.
- Manage user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory, MIS software, and other systems.
- Maintain, add, and delete users in the email system in line with procedures.
- Deliver technical support to all users across the Trust.
- Assist with installation of new and existing IT equipment.
- Support users with the VOIP telephone system.
- Provide proactive IT support when on site at any Trust Academy or Central Team Office.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and MIS systems (desirable).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to supporting users across multiple sites.
