Location: Across Trust Academies & Central Team Offices
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Mon–Thu), 8:00am – 3:30pm (Fri), 37 hours per week
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent (Temp-to-Perm opportunity)
Working Pattern: All year round

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join our School Trust team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and problem-solving to play a key role in supporting staff and students across our academies.

As an IT Technician, you will provide technical support, maintain systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations across the Trust. This permanent vacancy offers stability, with the potential to start on a temp-to-perm basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, respond, and escalate IT problems via the helpdesk, email, and telephone.
  • Provide hardware and software support for staff and student devices.
  • Repair and maintain hardware and software installations.
  • Manage user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory, MIS software, and other systems.
  • Maintain, add, and delete users in the email system in line with procedures.
  • Deliver technical support to all users across the Trust.
  • Assist with installation of new and existing IT equipment.
  • Support users with the VOIP telephone system.
  • Provide proactive IT support when on site at any Trust Academy or Central Team Office.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and MIS systems (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to supporting users across multiple sites.
