Account Manager, FMCG, Cheshire, £35,000 + Bonus, Immediate Start!

Our client, an incredibly well-established Food Ingredient Importer whom supply globally, are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, driven candidate to join their growing Account Management team. Based primarily in the company’s Cheshire HQ (with the expectation/opportunity to meet clients across the UK), this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate!

Our client provide their extensive customer base with a solution for their ingredient needs from concept to delivery, and have offices across the UK, US, China and Eastern Europe. Their customer base ranges from small independents to multi-national corporations, and they are actively looking to add to their already-considerable market share. Due to their growth plans, they are actively seeking the right candidate to oversee an existing client base whilst also developing new relationships, and are looking to move quickly on this. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering an exceptional service to an existing client base (c/20-30+), ensuring full satisfaction with the company’s services
  • Upselling different products/services to existing client base, in order to diversify/increase spend
  • Meeting with clients on a regular basis to identify potential growth areas/maintain incredible working relationship(s)
  • Working to sales/growth targets
  • Developing new business through outbound contact/trade show networking, etc
  • Keeping abreast of market trends

In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:

  • Prior experience within a customer-facing role (preferably within Account Management/Sales)
  • Consultative client approach
  • Warm, friendly personality – ability to maintain/grow working relationship(s)
  • Commercial mindset (in order to spot potential areas to diversify spend)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (and own car)
  • Fantastic business presentation
  • Genuine desire to develop/progress within a forward-thinking business

Although not essential, any candidates with experience of working within an FMCG Sales/Account Management capacity are of course urged to apply – however, personality/character/ability to build relationship(s) are genuinely the key focus areas for this particular piece of recruitment.

The role will be hybrid, however it is expected that, certainly initially, you will be working from the company’s Cheshire HQ more often than not, in order to learn the business/industry/role specifics. On a longer-term basis, it is expected that you will be in the office 3/4 times a week, with the remainder meeting with your client base (you will have full autonomy of your own diary).
