Business Development Manager: South Central & West Region

Your new company

Your new job working as a Business Development Manager will be working for a growing MGA which was established in the early 2000s and works with a variety of providers including insurers, MGAs, wholesale brokers and specialist suppliers, providing access to a wide range of personal and commercial insurance products and capacity solutions. Due to growth, they are now seeking a permanent job as a Business Development Manager to focus on managing the delivery of agreed sales targets within a specified region. These regions can be SN – Swindon, RG – Reading, GU – Guildford, SO –Southampton, SP – Salisbury.



Your new job

Your new role working as a Business Development Manager means you will be commercial for visiting clients to upsell and cross-sell the commercial offering. You will be responsible for undertaking broker visits in line with the BDM blueprint as well as, maintaining and developing client relationships: Brokers and Product Providers within their own assigned region(s) and region(s) of direct reports where applicable. You will also be responsible for planning and execute sales, marketing and distribution activities within your own region and the regions of direct reports and be able to deliver the agreed distribution requirements with an assigned region(s) for each product provider to whom the Division is contracted. It is also imperative that you maintain contact with people to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and maximise product sales within your own region and the regions of direct reports. You must also live or be able to travel to one of the following regions: SN – Swindon, RG – Reading, GU – Guildford, SO –Southampton, SP – Salisbury.




What you will need to succeed

Your previously experience working as a Business Development Manager within a Broker, Insurer or MGA where you have successfully developed Commercial Lines sales in the South Central & South West Region will contribute to your success in securing this role. This is a pivotal position within the company and therefore demands a responsible attitude. All round broker support experience is essential, as is confidence with computers and Commercial Lines experience. You will ideally be qualified as part of II and have good communicational and organisational skills. You must also be able to commute regularly to one of the following locations; SN – Swindon, RG – Reading, GU – Guildford, SO –Southampton, SP – Salisbury.
