We have an exciting opportunity for a CIPD‑qualified HR Business Partner to join our clients dynamic team and play a key role in helping shape the people strategy, supporting leaders, and driving high‑performance across the business.
About the Role
As a trusted HR partner, you’ll work closely with managers across the organisation to deliver the HR Business Plan and support the achievement of operational and strategic goals. You’ll provide pragmatic, solutions‑focused advice across the full employee lifecycle, build management capability, and lead on complex employee relations matters.
This is a hands‑on and varied role where no two days are the same—perfect for someone who is proactive, resilient, and able to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality HR support aligned with the HR Business Plan
- Partner with managers to understand business needs and support effective people solutions
- Provide timely and accurate advice across recruitment, performance, employment legislation, and general people matters
- Coach managers through complex and sensitive ER issues to build confidence and capability
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions to strengthen leadership skills
- Lead and manage complex ER cases, ensuring prompt resolution
- Support HR aspects of organisational change, including consultations and restructures
- Lead or contribute to HR projects that enhance business performance
- Act as a mentor to junior HR colleagues, sharing best practice and providing guidance
- Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver a seamless service
- Model company values through behaviours, decision‑making and interactions
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation
- Travel to other offices when required
About You
- CIPD qualified
- Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric and commercially focused environment (Financial Services desirable)
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to align HR solutions to business goals
- Proven experience managing complex ER cases independently
- Broad HR generalist experience, with particular strength in performance management
- Solid working knowledge of UK employment law
- Excellent influencing, coaching and stakeholder management skills
- Clear, confident communicator able to engage at all levels
- Pragmatic, solutions‑driven, and sound in professional judgement
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Skilled at prioritising and making decisions with minimal supervision
- Experience leading, managing, or developing a team
- High level of initiative, resilience, and personal accountability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems (Workday experience is a bonus)
- A positive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and self‑development
