KS2 SEN TA Job, Camden, London
Salary: £85 - £100 a day
Start date: September 2024

Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role? Do you have a passion for working with autistic children?

Our Camden primary school requires an eager graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who is looking to train as a teacher, to work in a key stage 2 classroom as an SEN TA.

About the role as SEN TA:
Your role will be versatile and rewarding. You will be responsible for supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning journey, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Your duties will include assisting the class teacher in planning and implementing individual education plans (IEPs), providing one-on-one support to students, and adapting teaching methods to meet students’ needs. You will also work closely with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists, to ensure that all students receive the support they need. This role requires patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of SEN.

What you will need to succeed
** A passion for working with SEN pupils and perhaps a desire to become a teacher in the future.
** Good behaviour management and organisational skills.
** You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Hays.
