Senior Process Engineer - Water - Clean Water - Waste Water

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a leading consultancy delivering innovative water sector projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio, including wastewater treatment, clean water treatment, and sludge processing, while contributing to sustainable engineering solutions.
Your new role
- Process Design & Development: Deliver robust process engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including sludge handling systems.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct technical and organisational feasibility studies, including cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments.
- Data Analysis & Testing: Collect and interpret operational and design data to inform process improvements.
- Innovation & Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- Project Delivery: Support project execution within established plans, ensuring compliance with client expectations and regulatory standards.
- Client Engagement: Assist in managing client relationships and contribute to proposals, tenders, and technical presentations.
- Knowledge Sharing: Promote continuous learning and innovation within the team.
- Contract & Supplier Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for timely, quality delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
- 6+ years of relevant experience in process engineering within the water sector.
- Expertise in wastewater treatment, clean water treatment, and sludge processing.
- Ability to produce and check detailed P&IDs, Control Philosophies, and equipment sizing calculations.
- Familiarity with UK water industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience supervising junior colleagues is desirable.
