Maintenance Manager

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation based in Wrexham, known for its cutting-edge facilities and commitment to quality, safety, and innovation. This site plays a key role in global production and is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to support its operations on a rolling 12-month fixed-term contract.
Your new role
- Overseeing the maintenance strategy for all process equipment
- Leading troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical improvement initiatives
- Managing internal and external service providers
- Driving continuous improvement and reliability-centred maintenance practices
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and quality standards
- Supporting CapEx projects and shutdown planning
- Providing out-of-hours support when required
What you'll need to succeed
- Time-served engineering qualification (Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration) with advanced apprenticeship or relevant degree
- Proven experience in maintenance leadership within GMP-regulated environments
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing and utility systems
- Excellent people management, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience with SAP and operational excellence tools (Green Belt level desirable)
- Ability to lead change, solve complex equipment issues, and drive performance
