Civil engineering salaries will depend on location, expertise, and the job profile itself.  

As a graduate structural engineer, you could expect to earn £25,000-£30,000 a year. If you’re a senior structural engineer, there is potential to earn up to £60,000, while an associate engineer could earn in the region of £75,000.  

There are similarly competitive salaries for CAD technicians too, with remuneration reaching £65,000 for those with the right expertise.

There are currently skill shortages in many areas of civil engineering, meaning that skilled engineering professionals, such as geotechnical experts, are in demand. This means it’s a great time to find a civil engineering role and apply your valued skillset.
