·Must have an in-depth understanding of embedding and improving a risk management methodology in a highly complex organisation.
· This is a role for a very strong career Risk Management professional with extensive experience in the field.

· Large public sector organisation but looking for a mixture of large, complex business or organisational background.
This assignment shall support a business-wide transformation journey by embedding robust enterprise risk management (ERM) practices. This is a hands-on, strategic and operational role requiring a seasoned risk professional with the gravitas to influence at all levels and the operational capability to build frameworks from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current risk portfolio and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of existing risk registers.
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide risk management framework that adds tangible business value.
- Identify and address gaps in risk fundamentals and maturity.
- Create and embed a risk management culture across all levels of the organisation.
- Provide leadership and oversight to one interim team member.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure risk is appropriately positioned (not within Internal Audit).
- Support the transformation team by mapping out improvements and driving practical risk solutions.
Profile Requirements:
- Proven track record as a career risk professional across multiple sectors (not just public sector).
- Background in Big 4 consultancy or equivalent, with experience in risk transformation and embedding ERM.
- Strong operational experience with the ability to assess current state and lead meaningful change.
- Gravitas and credibility to engage senior stakeholders and drive accountability.
- Able to work autonomously and bring a structured, value-driven approach to risk.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with building risk functions in low-maturity environments.
- Strong consultancy and transformation mindset
