Your new company
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive colleague to join the Young People’s Service as a Resilience Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience supporting young people and make a meaningful impact on their lives.
Your new role
You’ll work directly with young people affected by drug and alcohol use, delivering early intervention, harm reduction, and resilience-building support. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to empowering young people to make positive choices and lead safe, healthy lives.
- Deliver targeted interventions around drug and alcohol awareness.
- Hold a caseload of young people and provide 1-to-1 support.
- Plan and run group work programmes.
- Conduct screening, assessment, and care planning.
- Provide psychosocial interventions and post-treatment support.
- Work closely with partner agencies (e.g., youth justice, schools, social care).
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Promote community involvement and advocacy.
- Empower young people to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with young people.
- Understanding of substance misuse and related issues.
- Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks (e.g., Fraser Competence).
- Ability to work in a person-centred, strengths-based way.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
