Electrical Pump Engineer - Design & Build Contractor - Shropshire - Infrastructure Projects - Water Industry

Your new company

You will be joining a design and build contractor based in Shropshire operating in the water industry. This established company has a strong pipeline of work with multiple high-profile water authorities across the UK and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard an Electrical Pump Engineer to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based initially on sites in the Shropshire area.

Your new role

As an Electrical Pump Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing general electrical engineering duties to ensure that pump systems are operating as specified
  • Carrying out maintenance, repairs, commissioning and installations of pumping stations and associated equipment
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues and optimising performance
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Working with technical drawings, system analysis and project management.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Previous electrical-related engineering experience in the water industry, ideally on pumping stations
  • CSCS card and 18th Edition of BS7671
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work and stay away from home when required
  • Full UK driving licence.
