IT Asset Coordinator/ Manager - SC Cleared

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is looking for a Security Cleared Asset Coordinator for a 6-month, on-site (hybrid) contract with a government client based in Solihull. Inside IR35
The coordinator will be responsible for hardware order and asset management in partnership with the inside sales team.

Responsibilities
Prepare inventory documentation: this involves accurately recording type, quantity, quality, and other features of inventory for a clear understanding of the state of the stocks, and identifying ways to optimise inventory control procedures.
Ensure that inventories are constantly up to standards
Perform support duties within SLA for resolution of Service Requests and incidents.
Ensure that whatever hardware is received meets purchase order specifications
Create purchase plans, ensuring the availability of stocks when needed and generate Purchase Orders as required to maintain agreed levels.
Ensure maintenance of optimal levels of stock for availability as the need arises, ensuring available stocks match customer needs
Maintain daily invoices and shipment records to ascertain the state of all stocks
Supporting Standard Service teams in forecasting IT's future stock needs
Oversee the constant flow of stocks in and out of company’s warehouse facility
Document stocks delivery and supervise their movement into operational processing.

Experience Required
Valid SC Security Clearance
A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, IT management, or equivalent work experience. Relevant qualifications (e.g. CPIM) will be a plus.
Experience of working in or running IT inventory, stores and/or logistics operations with an understanding of min/max stock levels, churn rates, purchasing and shipping logistics.
Excellent communication skills: On a regular basis, the Inventory Control Analyst will need to communicate with customers or co-workers. Therefore, they need to have great communication skills to be able to do so effectively.
Effective management skills: The manager needs strong leadership skills to ensure Hardware Asset and Inventory Management work effectively and efficiently in support of Standard Services.
Attention to Detail: the role requires significant attention to the creation and maintenance of accurate Hardware Inventory records, ensuring these are accurate at all times.
Analytical Skills: Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods, able to review stock levels, churn rates, usage, and order patterns to optimise the inventory levels held by ITS to minimise waste due to obsolescence, lack of future demand etc.
Organisation skills: The Inventory Control Analyst must be able to organise inventory, logistics schedules, and maintain inventories to ensure efficiency in work delivery
Problem-solving skills: must have the ability to anticipate problems and prepare to solve them
Excellent time management skills to joggle several contending issues and come up with the best decisions
Working knowledge of inventory management software
