SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER, PERM, INDUSTRY, CO. ARMAGH

Your new company
A leading manufacturing organisation in Co. Armagh is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of end‑to‑end supply chain operations across a fast‑paced, high‑performing factory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven supply chain professional to step into a strategic leadership role with significant operational influence.

Your new role
As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all supply chain functions within the factory. This includes demand forecasting, material planning, production scheduling, procurement coordination, warehousing, and logistics.

You will lead a dedicated supply chain team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure materials and finished goods flow efficiently through the operation. Key responsibilities include:

Key Duties
  • Developing and delivering the site supply chain strategy aligned with production and business objectives
  • Overseeing demand forecasting, MRP, and production scheduling to ensure OTIF performance
  • Managing inventory levels and implementing controls to prevent shortages or excess stock
  • Leading supplier performance management, including OTIF, quality, and lead‑time compliance
  • Driving lean, cost‑reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
  • Overseeing inbound/outbound logistics and warehouse operations
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Reporting on key KPIs including inventory turns, forecast accuracy, OTIF, and cost‑to‑serve
  • Leading weekly planning meetings and providing insights to senior management
  • Developing contingency plans to mitigate supply risks

What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in a supply chain management or planning role within a manufacturing or factory environment, along with strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, production planning, and logistics.

Essential Criteria
  • 3+ years’ experience in supply chain or planning roles
  • Experience managing or leading a team
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP / MRP / ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable
  • Professional qualifications such as APICS, CIPS, or ILM
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies
  • Knowledge of import/export and customs processes
