Behaviour Support Worker – Bradford Primary School

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a Behavioural Support Worker to join a welcoming primary school in BD2, Bradford. This is a rewarding opportunity to work 1:1 with a pupil who has severe behavioural needs, helping them to access learning and thrive in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with significant behavioural challenges.
- Implement strategies to manage behaviour and promote positive engagement.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored support plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage progress and emotional regulation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with severe behavioural needs (essential) – this does not need to be in a classroom setting; transferable experience from other environments is welcome.
- Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
