Domestic Abuse Coordinator - Social Housing - Min 3 month contract

We're looking for a compassionate and highly organised Domestic Abuse Coordinator to join our social housing client on a minimum 3+ month contract, providing vital support to customers affected by domestic abuse.

You will act as the central point of contact for domestic abuse cases, taking initial ownership from initial disclosure through to resolution. Working in a trauma-informed way, you'll ensure customers feel supported, safe and empowered whilst coordinating internal teams and external agencies to reduce risk and interventions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage domestic abuse cases from start to disclosure, maintaining regular customer contact

  • Cary out risk assessments, e.g. DASH/MERIT, and coordinate safeguarding referrals.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and specialist agencies to deliver practical and safety interventions.

  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings (MARAC)

  • Identify changing risks and proactively respond to escalating situations

  • Provide ongoing telephone support and maintain accurate case records

  • Support service development, training and awareness initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse, ideally within social housing

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation e.g the Domestic Abuse Act

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience of completing DASH/MERIT assessments and contributing to multi-agency conferences such as MARAC

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice
