Liaison Officer - Housing (Office Based) – Temp

Project Overview
This pilot project aims to improve the accuracy and completeness of customer records within internal systems. The work involves verifying and updating confidential and sensitive customer information, including personal details and data relating to individual needs or circumstances.

Because of the nature of the information being collected, customers may be cautious or hesitant. The project therefore requires someone who can communicate with reassurance, professionalism, and clarity.


There are three roles to be filled.

NEC system experience is preferred, Housing experience is essential.

Initially 10 weeks to assess and then there will potentially be an extension.

Purpose of the Role (2x required)
To contact existing customers and verify or update confidential information in a sensitive, compliant, and customer‑focused manner.

Key Responsibilities
Make outbound calls using approved scripts designed to reassure customers about the purpose and safety of the data collection.

Confirm and update confidential customer information with accuracy and care

Handle sensitive conversations with empathy, professionalism, and patience

Manage customer reluctance or concerns in a calm and supportive way

Record outcomes clearly and securely

Follow GDPR, data protection, and internal confidentiality procedures at all times.

Purpose of the Role (x1 required)
To accurately input, validate, and maintain confidential customer information collected by the outreach team.

Key Responsibilities
Review sensitive data gathered through outbound calls

Accurately embed and update customer records within NEC or other internal systems

Ensure all information is handled securely and in line with data protection standards

Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or issues requiring follow-up

Support quality assurance and reporting processes

Maintain strict confidentiality at all times

General Requirements for All Roles
Professional, calm, and empathetic communication style

Ability to handle sensitive conversations with confidence and care

Strong organisational and record-keeping skills

Reliability and consistency in following structured processes

Comfortable working within a pilot environment where processes may evolve
