This administration and welfare assistant job has been made available by Secondary School in Sheffield. The school has a very dedicated workforce that focusses on the educational outcomes of all students and aims to create a learning community that is both supportive and safe in an environment of mutual respect.
Your new role
This school is currently looking for a temporary full-time welfare assistant with admin duties to start as soon as possible. Your time in this role will include:
- Maintain/Check that the first aid boxes in the school are fully equipped
- Be around in the medical room as and when required to support students administer medication.
- Attend to the medical needs of students and staff, providing first aid and signposting to other medical providers where necessary
- Collect medication from students for safe storage
- Keep student medical information up to date
- Keep stock of equipment and materials and order as required, ensuring deliveries are accurate and invoices correct within an allocated budget.
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required
- Contacting parents/guardians as and when required
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have:
- First Aid Level 3 is essential.
- Respect for safeguarding and confidentiality,
- A strong ability to communicate well
- Medical/First aid/ Paramedic experience desirable.
- Use your own initiative
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Maintain attention to detail and be organised, motivated and punctual.
