Government Contract Role: Technician Level 2 – Lincoln

Job Overview:
Seeking an on-site IT support resource to assist with laptop deployments. The role involves configuring devices, updating asset records, and supporting users during setup.
- Location: Mobile role to based near Spalding to cover Kings Lynn, Lincoln, and Huntingdon sites
- Contract: ASAP until 31st Dec’26
- Mandatory check: SC Clearance
- Pay Rates:
- Umbrella Rate:£18.87per hour (via a Hays approved umbrella company).
- PAYE Basic Rate:£14.54per hour
- Hours:37.5 hours a week. Monday – Friday.
- Time:9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
NOTE: It’s a Mobile Engineer based near Spalding to cover Kings Lynn, Lincoln, and Huntingdon sites; the role focusses on peripheral distribution, ticket management, requires full manual driving licence and SC clearance post-hire.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a mobile engineer in and around the Spalding area, and we are looking for a mobile engineer who could cover 3 key sites (Kings Lynn/Lincoln & Huntingdon) and their surrounding spoke sites. It will depend on which queues are busiest as to where the engineer is deployed, hence why a central location is important – in some cases, holiday/sickness cover will mean the engineer is deployed to one site for longer periods: SC clearance.
Not required on day one but will need to be completed once with CC as a requirement on site and engineers must have a full drivers'licence for manual vehicles so they can drive CC vans onsite.- 75% of the role will be handing out peripherals and equipment: 20% ticket management – 5% Break/Fix engineering (not essential) • Handing out peripherals and End User Devices.

- To ensure all tickets are managed and updated appropriately
- To return all parts in a timely manner via a returns process with appropriate paperwork.
- To work within a team to achieve departmental KPI’s & Goals (SLA, Customer Satisfaction, Utilisation, Efficiency, Productivity & Financials)
- To build a good and professional relationship with customers onsite.
- To engage with other team members.
- To escalate any issues or areas for quality improvements to their Team Leader
- To follow all departmental procedures as specified by the Team Leader/ODM
- Regularly attend daily calls/team meetings
Key Requirements:
Candidates must be SC cleared.
