Learning Legal and Planning Processes: Gaining exposure to planning appeals and nuisance cases, with opportunities to assist in preparing technical evidence and documentation.
On-site Measurements and Equipment Handling: Participating in fieldwork, setting up and operating sound level meters and other acoustic equipment. You’ll also be involved in in-house calibration and maintenance of instruments.
Report Writing and Data Analysis: Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, including data analysis, charts, and clear summaries of findings under the guidance of senior staff.
Software Use and Training: You’ll be using and receiving training with tools such as IMMI (environmental modelling), INSUL (building acoustics), and CATT (room acoustics), with a focus on understanding their strengths and limitations.
