Hays are working with a diverse secondary school & sixth for in Cheltenham to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Science Specialist to join their vibrant team on a long-term, full-time basis! Your new role

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 to KS5
• Plan and prepare schemes of work in line with the national curriculum
• Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support progress
• Use data to inform teaching and adapt strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment with strong behaviour management
• Liaise with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing and achievement

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics
• Confident classroom management and ability to engage mixed-ability groups
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and school life
• Reliable transport (as the school is not easily accessible via public transport)
