Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Garstang, part of a successful and supportive multi-academy trust, to recruit an English Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026 for the duration of one term.

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
  • Inspire students of varying abilities to develop a love for English language and literature
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold high standards of behaviour and learning

What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to motivate and engage students
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
