Our client is a well-established and highly respected organisation within the agri-food sector, supplying products to major retailers across Northern Ireland and mainland UK. Your new role

Reporting into the intake function, you will take on a hands-on role responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods into the production process. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to ensure that supply meets demand in a timely and effective manner.
Your focus will be on planning, organising, and controlling intake operations to ensure production receives sufficient quantities of high-quality product to meet customer orders, while maintaining compliance with food safety, legal, and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate collection schedules to drivers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate daily transport operations and oversee vehicle movements
  • Support drivers and operational teams throughout each shift
  • Manage transport rotas and resources effectively
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve supply and collection issues
  • Respond promptly to operational challenges and changing business demands
  • Ensure full compliance with driver regulations, including WTD and transport legislation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Previous experience in transport planning or logistics operations
  • Strong knowledge of driver hours, WTD, and transport compliance
  • Experience in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • CPC qualification (national or international) – desirable but not essential

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (flexibility required based on business needs)
