Location – UK Wide (Ideally based near Scunthorpe or Olney)Hours: 40 Hours (Monday to Friday)

Your new role
- Lead the grid compliance framework including policy, processes, templates, and audit readiness.
- Maintain project‑specific Compliance Matrices (Type A/B/C/D) covering design, test plans, evidence, and sign‑off.
- Chair compliance reviews and “Design for Compliance” gate meetings aligned with CDM and quality management.
- Act as the main technical liaison with NGESO, Transmission System Owners (TSOs), DNOs/IDNOs, and ICPs.
- Manage consents and agreements including Connection Offers, BCAs, testing approvals, and operational declarations.
- Represent at industry forums and consultations, translating regulatory changes into delivery practice.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, correspondence, approvals, and evidence.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans as required.
- Track and report grid compliance milestones against project timelines.
- Scope, conduct, or oversee power system studies up to 400 kV, including load flow, short‑circuit, protection coordination, harmonics (G5/5), flicker (P28), voltage unbalance (P29), dynamic stability, RoCoF, and model validation.
- Oversee EMT and phasor studies using tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE, ETAP, and PSCAD.
- Prepare specifications for external study providers when required and manage those providers.
- Review, validate, and sign off study results to ensure compliance with DNO/TSO requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong technical expertise in grid compliance, power system studies, and UK Grid Code / ENA EREC G99/G100 requirements.
- Experience working with DNOs, TSOs, NGESO, or ICPs on grid‑connected generation, storage, or demand systems.
- Ability to produce and review complex engineering studies and documentation to a high technical standard.
- Excellent stakeholder‑management skills, including technical engagement with external organisations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage compliance documentation and project milestones
- Hold a Full UK Driving License
