If you’re passionate about delivering outstanding financial services and want to play a key role in shaping the future of the team in the North East, we want to hear from you!

About the Role
As our Management Accountant, you’ll support the Head of Strategic Finance in delivering high-quality financial services across the Group. You’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, leading on:
  • Treasury management: Oversee monthly reconciliation of our loan and security portfolio, covenant reporting, and cashflow forecasting.
  • Business planning: Support the Group’s 30-year business plan and ensure accurate, timely regulatory returns.
  • Development programme reporting: Monitor and report on our ambitious Development Programme, including budget preparation, variance analysis, and property disposals.
  • Capital grant funding: Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of historic and current capital grant funding.
  • Insurance and risk management: Support the administration of the Group’s insurance policy.
  • Performance reporting: Produce clear, insightful monthly and quarterly reports on Treasury and Development performance.
You’ll also ensure our accounting records are managed efficiently and in line with statutory obligations and current accounting requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • A sound understanding of modern accounting procedures and the ability to resolve complex problems.
  • Experience in finance or treasury, ideally within the social housing sector.
  • Knowledge of insurance and risk management is desirable.
  • Experience working in organisations of medium size and complexity is a plus.
Our Values
  • Customer Focused: We champion customer needs and deliver excellent service.
  • Trusted: We act with integrity and deliver on our promises.
  • Respect for People: We value and develop our colleagues and respect our customers as individuals.
  • Leadership: We provide strong, transparent, and evidence-based leadership.
  • Collaborative: We work together to meet the needs of our tenants, customers, partners, and the wider North East community.
