Your new role
As a Test Manager, you will take full ownership of the UAT strategy and execution for a major programme. You will work closely with business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, build comprehensive test plans, and drive UAT readiness.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining and managing the UAT strategy, approach, and detailed plans
- Collaborating with business teams to shape acceptance criteria and test scenarios
- Setting UAT entry and exit criteria aligned to project milestones
- Acting as the key liaison between business, IT teams, and third‑party vendors
- Coordinating test coverage across global units, products, and regions
- Overseeing UAT execution, ensuring full traceability to requirements
- Managing defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution
- Providing clear progress updates and escalating risks where necessary
- Leading and mentoring UAT testers and business SMEs
- Producing dashboards, metrics, and executive‑level reporting
- Ensuring compliance with internal QA processes and regulatory standards

What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a UAT/Test Manager on large‑scale programmes within insurance or financial services
- Strong understanding of policy administration, underwriting, claims, and billing processes
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and IT
- Strong working knowledge of tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps
- Ability to manage testing across multiple regions and time zones
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working on global web platforms
- ISTQB or similar certification
- A high‑impact role within a major transformation programme
