Programme Test Manager| 6 Months| Hybrid| £600 Per Day (Inside IR35)
Are you an experienced Programme Test Manager with a track record of leading testing across complex, multi- workstream programmes? We’re looking for a confident and capable professional to join a large central government organisation on a 6-month contract to drive quality assurance and test governance across a high-profile transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the programme-wide test strategy, ensuring alignment with delivery goals and government standards.
Managing test planning, execution, and reporting across multiple projects and suppliers.
Overseeing all test phases (SIT, UAT, OAT), ensuring readiness and quality at every stage.
Collaborating with delivery teams, third-party vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Providing clear, concise updates to programme leadership and governance boards.
Championing continuous improvement in testing practices, tooling, and automation.
Key Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Programme Test Manager or Senior Test Manager on large-scale public sector or enterprise programmes.
Strong understanding of test governance, test assurance, and quality management at programme level.
Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Familiarity with GDS standards, security testing, and compliance frameworks is a plus.
Experience managing third-party suppliers and outsourced testing services.
