Tenancy Support Officer (Supported Housing) - Wirral - TEMP TO PERM!!

We're excited to be recruiting a Tenancy Support Officer in the Wirral on a full-time, temp to perm contract. Our client provide intensive housing management and tenancy support to vulnerable adults with varying levels of needs and backgrounds including mental health & learning disabilities.

This is a hybrid role where you will be required to travel to your property portfolio daily, so a driving licence with access to your own vehicle and valid business insurance is essential.


Your new role

  • Delivering housing management functions including voids and lettings, property inspections, rent/service charge arrears management and dealing with all anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and other tenancy breaches

  • Conducting regular health & safety checks and property inspections, identifying issues, logging repairs and facilitating access for contractors

  • Ensuring Housing Benefit claims are completed upon sign up of tenancy, assisting colleagues to obtain any documents required from tenants

  • Ensuring all safeguarding, ASB, nuisance and other tenancy breach reports are logged, investigated and resolved efficiently and effectively

  • Completing and reviewing support plans/risk assessments with tenants, working in partnership with care providers

  • Participating in stakeholder meetings and providing daily, weekly and monthly reports to Senior Management

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 6 months' experience of working with vulnerable adults in a supported/social housing setting, delivering housing and tenancy management functions

  • An understanding of various mental health diagnoses and learning disabilities

  • Experience of completing risk assessments & support plans

  • Knowledge and understanding of housing & tenancy management law, legislation and best practice

  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance and able to commute to the Wirral daily
