Independent Living Support Officer (Retirement Living - Social Housing) - Temp role
We're looking to recruit an Independent Living Support Officer on a full-time, temporary basis for a minimum of 8 to 12 weeks. You'll be working 37.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday, based at one of our clients' Independent Living Scheme's for residents aged 55+.
Your new role
Providing on-site support to residents, identifying customer needs and changes to need through effective risk assessments and reviewing support plans
Carrying out regular welfare checks, identifying any possible safeguarding concerns to act upon
Assisting with viewings, void property management and coordinating repairs
Responding to general enquiries from customers or family members
Ensuring communal areas and facilities are well managed and maintained, and comply with health & safety legislation
Encourage resident involvement within different activities & events
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of providing housing-related support to vulnerable adults, with an understanding of safeguarding processes and protocols
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of housing/tenancy related matters and knowledge of welfare benefits
Confident lone worker and ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively
