Structural Technician, Design Technician

With a strong reputation for delivering innovative and practical design solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, the firm is expanding its technical team to support a growing portfolio of projects across Northern Ireland and beyond.

Your new role
As a Structural Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and BIM models to support the design and delivery of building structures. Working closely with experienced engineers, you’ll contribute to projects from concept through to construction, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed structural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Collaborating with engineers and external stakeholders to develop design solutions
  • Supporting project delivery across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures
  • Maintaining drawing standards and ensuring compliance with relevant codes

What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience working as a Structural Technician within a consultancy environment
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (essential)
  • Good understanding of UK and NI building regulations and detailing practices
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred)
