Job Overview
The T2 Technician (On-site / Site-Based Engineer) is responsible for delivering on-site IT support either as part of a team or as the sole point of contact at a customer site, providing desktop hardware installations, swaps, and troubleshooting while assisting users with hardware and software queries. The role involves initiating automated builds and executing basic scripted configurations on laptops, managing hardware repairs through warranty channels, and offering desk-side and walk-up support. The technician must maintain accurate system records using ServiceNow, strictly follow established procedures and policies, and perform proactive desk and meeting room checks to ensure maximum system availability, including meeting room setup and fault diagnosis. Strong communication is required to keep team leaders informed of issues or escalations.

Work Schedule: Mon–Fri 09:00–17:30

Job Description:
  • T2 Technician On-site Site-Based engineer
  • Working either within a team on site or as the single point of contact for the site.
  • Provide desktop hardware installation and swap services and assist users if required.
  • To start automated builds and simple scripted post-login configuration on laptop computers in the case of software failure, and manage hardware repair through the customer defined warranty routes where required.
  • Provide desk side support functions to the customer if needed, and handle walk-up queries for software and hardware issues.
  • Upkeep of system records, principally ServiceNow. Strict adherence to procedures, scripts and polices is a must.
  • Proactive scheduled desk and meeting room checks to ensure maximum possible availability.
  • Meeting room support and fault diagnosis.
  • Ensure the team leaders are aware of any issues or potential escalations.
