Civil Technician, CAD Technician, Water Modeller

Your new company

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join its expanding Water and Wastewater team in Belfast. Due to continued success across multiple frameworks, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a large, collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions across the UK and internationally.
The team provides a broad range of services including water and wastewater infrastructure, water mains design, drainage, SuDS and surface water management, working with clients such as water companies, local authorities, highways authorities, rail authorities and private developers.

Your new role


In this role you will be responsible for supporting the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including:
•Producing and managing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for roads, drainage and utilities using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
•Undertaking hydraulic and SuDS design using Causeway Flow and MicroDrainage
•Working closely with engineers and technicians to ensure design integration and quality
•Assisting with design reviews, detailed design and production drawings
•Supporting and mentoring junior technicians, providing technical guidance where required

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•A flexible and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
•A positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude
•The motivation to take ownership of your work and collaborate effectively as part of a team, while also working independently when required

Experience within water, drainage or civil infrastructure projects would be highly beneficial
