Electrical Technical Services Manager required to support leading regulatory body based in Edinburgh
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Manager to join a leading regulatory body based in Penicuik. The team are seeking to appoint a well qualified technical services manager to lead, develop and oversee a team of existing officers. This role will see you deliver training, carrying out inspections, and act as a point of knowledge and contact for other staff within the organisation.
As the technical services manager, you will act as second in command of the department - facing into the technical services director. You will join a well established team who specialise in the area of electrical regulations, processes and the upkeep of standards across the industry. This is a multi faceted role where your duties vary on a daily basis. The organisation is responsible for the delivery of courses, issuing certifications and keeping its members up to date with all relevant legislation. Often, the organisation attends industry events to ensure company visibility - you will act as a face of the company, meeting clients, members and other leaders in the field.
The ideal candidate for this role will come from a supervisory or managerial position either from an education body or from their own business ventures. However candidates holding a more varied background will be considered. This role involves developing, inspiring and critiquing electrical works, thus a calm and encouraging nature would be preferred.
