Senior IT Project Manager 6-month contract in Birmingham City Centre
Competitive day rate available (within scope of IR35) and hybrid working pattern (3 days per week on site)
Hays Technology are working in partnership with a Housing sector client to recruit a Senior IT Project Manager until the end of July.
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead two critical initiatives. This role requires strong technical delivery experience, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to drive projects in a structured waterfall approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of two projects:
- Implement Azure API Management (APIM) to migrate from legacy point-to-point API integrations to a hub-and-spoke model, reducing contention in application test environments (notably Northgate housing system).
- Work with Rents & Service Charge, IT, and Commercial teams to procure and deploy a replacement for our service charge management product.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Build confidence and clarity for stakeholders in uncertain or evolving situations.
- Oversee procurement processes and supplier management activities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong IT project management skills with experience in waterfall technical delivery.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and visual).
- Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
- Familiarity with API management or ability to learn quickly.
- Comfortable creating confidence among stakeholders.
