IT Project Manager Contract

We are currently working with a growing public sector organisation based in Greater Manchester who are currently working through multiple workstreams and projects and require an experienced IT project manager to manage these deliverables and move the workstreams along.
This organisation is a leading player in the public sector housing market and has invested in building their Technology team up to where it is now - although they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to hit the ground running, the team operates as a unit and there will be plenty of support available in this role.Key Responsibilities
Creation of project proposals and / or business cases for the technical projects in conjunction the IT/Tech Business Stakeholders..
Develop and deliver a rolling programme / workstack of work for the agreed technical projects: Providing an ongoing forward view of required change to inform wider sequencing of the overall change portfolio.
Own the production of the detailed project plans, setting guidance to the wider project team and workstream leads on the components required to deliver the end-to-end project
Conduct capacity planning and resource modelling to inform sequencing; accurately forecast demand for the different skillsets within Technical Operations.
Contract management of the delivery of services provided by third parties in line with the requirements specified in the contract, and to deliver against agreed KPIs.
Provide management of project plans, tracking and reporting activities, documentation templates and tools, to provide timely and accurate project reporting.
Provide effective planning, control and monitoring of the project budget including resource utilisation and any fixed or external costs.
Essential Skills / Experience
Extensive knowledge of cloud computing, IaaS, SaaS. Sound foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, application upgrades and cloud releases.
Significant experience of managing and contracting cloud-based service providers, data centre providers and telecoms providers.
Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms, to a varying degree for differing stakeholders.
Excellent contract management skills.
Experience of line management and matrix management.
Experienced in multiple project methodologies and able to determine appropriate use of a methodology.
Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Proficient in use of delivery and collaboration tools (i.e. DevOps, SharePoint. MS Teams, Asana).
