I am working with a public sector organisation who are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Officer to deliver critical building safety and compliance projects. This role will focus on:

• Asbestos removal projects
• Fire escape re-design
• Compartmentalisation works

• Manage planned and responsive building projects, including surveys, specifications, procurement, and supervision of works.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, fire safety standards, and asbestos control requirements.
• Oversee contractors and maintain strict budgetary and programme control.
• Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in delivering fire safety works and asbestos removal projects.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, fire safety, asbestos regulations, and health & safety legislation.
• Ability to produce plans and specifications; proficiency in AutoCAD desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
