We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader on a temp-to-perm basis for a fast growing and highly operational e-commerce business. This is a key frontline leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands on, high-energy environment and is passionate about driving performance, efficiency, and team engagement on the warehouse floor.
This is not a desk based role. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time leading from the front, working alongside their team to deliver daily operational targets.
Your new role
As Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team across key warehouse activities including picking, packing, goods in/out, and despatch. You will play a critical role in maintaining pace, accuracy, and productivity in a busy e‑commerce environment where volumes and priorities can change quickly.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating, and coaching a warehouse team on the shop floor
- Driving daily and shift‑based performance against KPIs (productivity, accuracy, service levels)
- Identifying and implementing small continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and flow
- Being hands‑on in the operation when required to support volumes and set the standard
- Ensuring adherence to health & safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Supporting training, onboarding, and performance management of team members
- Acting as the key link between the warehouse team and shift/operations management
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor within a fast‑paced warehouse or e‑commerce environment
- A hands‑on leadership style — comfortable being on your feet and working alongside your team
- Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs and how to drive performance and efficiency
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage, challenge, and motivate teams
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Flexibility to support shift patterns as required
This role will not suit individuals seeking a predominantly office‑based or administrative position.
