Are you passionate about education and eager to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We’re working with a number of vibrant and inclusive secondary schools who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support core subject intervention (English, Maths, and Science) across Key Stages 3 and 4.
About the Role:
As a Core Subject Intervention Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping students reach their academic potential. Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs, you’ll deliver targeted support to small groups and individual learners who need a boost in core subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored academic support in English, Maths, or Science
- Assist in planning and delivering intervention sessions
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support classroom management and behaviour strategies
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
Desirable:
- Degree in a relevant subject or Level 3 TA qualification
- Experience with SEN or EAL students
