Your New Job
We are currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join this Trafford-based SEN school in September. This is a full-time, long-term role ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with additional needs. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting students with ASC, SLD, SEMH, and other complex needs
  • Assisting with classroom activities and differentiated learning
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting personal care and mobility where required
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you should have:
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (in schools, care, or youth settings)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Hays
