Teaching Assistant – September Start (Primary School in Penwortham Area)

Your new company

Your new school is a welcoming and well‑established primary school in the Penwortham area who look to appoint a number of committed Teaching Assistants to join their team from September. The school has asked to remain anonymous at this stage, but they are known locally for their nurturing ethos, strong leadership, and supportive staff community.

Your new role

The Teaching Assistant positions are a mixture of both full and part-time working across EYFS or KS1 (depending on your strengths and experience). You will be supporting pupils with their learning, helping to create an engaging classroom environment, and working closely with the class teacher to deliver high‑quality provision.

  • Classroom support — working with individuals and small groups
  • SEND support — providing tailored help where needed
  • Behaviour guidance — promoting positive routines and expectations
  • Resource preparation — helping teachers with materials and activities
  • Safeguarding awareness — following school and statutory procedures

What you'll need to succeed

  • Enthusiastic and proactive in supporting children’s learning
  • Experienced in primary settings or eager to develop in the role
  • Confident working with SEND
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
