Science Teacher needed for long-term cover !
Science Teacher – Nottingham-based Secondary School
- Start date: Easter or sooner
- Subject: Science across KS3 & KS4
- Timetable: Full-time role
Hays are working in partnership with an 11-16 Secondary School in Nottingham. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher.
For this role, you will be experienced teaching all three sciences across Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a long-term position to start at Easter until May half-term initially, with the possibility to extend.
Job Description
- Delivering engaging and creative Science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
- Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
- Participating in extracurricular activities such as science/STEM clubs and school trips.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in science or related field
- Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
