Hays are working with a diverse secondary school in Gloucestershire to appoint two enthusiastic and experienced Science Specialists to join their vibrant secondary team for the autumn term! If you’re passionate about inspiring young minds and confident delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, we’d love to hear from you!
Your new role
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and prepare schemes of work in line with the national curriculum
- Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support progress
- Use data to inform teaching and adapt strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment with strong behaviour management
- Liaise with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing and achievement
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics
- Confident classroom management and ability to engage mixed-ability groups
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and school life
- Reliable transport(as the school is not easily accessible via public transport)
