Hays Education are working with a highly regarded and oversubscribed secondary school in Sheffield to recruit an enthusiastic Teacher of Science, ideally with a specialism in Chemistry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward‑thinking and well‑resourced department within one of the most sought‑after schools in the city.
The Role
We are seeking a confident and motivated Science Teacher to deliver high‑quality teaching across KS3 to KS5, with the ability to teach Chemistry at GCSE and A‑Level being highly advantageous. This position will begin in February 2026 to cover staff sickness and is expected to run until at least Easter, with the strong possibility of extension.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) (ESSENTIAL)
- Have experience teaching Science across KS3–KS5
- Be confident delivering Chemistry at higher levels
- Bring strong classroom management and a commitment to high standards
- Be available to begin in February and commit to the duration of the cover
