MFL teacher needed for January

A school in the Littlehampton area is seeking an MFL teacher to assist for the summer term. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing team in a well-established school teaching modern foreign languages to students. MFL Teacher (Full-Time) – Summer Term

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate MFL Teacher to join our team for the summer term. As an integral part of our school community, you will inspire students, foster language skills, and promote cultural understanding.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Planning and Delivery:
Design and deliver high-quality MFL lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
Create engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs, including those with special educational requirements.
Set appropriate homework assignments and monitor student progress.

Differentiation and Individualisation:
Understand the range of abilities within teaching groups and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Provide differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs.
Promptly address concerns related to individual pupils in collaboration with the Head of MFL.

Assessment and Reporting:
Assess student achievement according to departmental, school, and National Curriculum requirements.
Regularly provide feedback to students on their progress.
Use attainment data to set challenging targets and monitor student progress.

Classroom Management:
Maintain a disciplined and conducive learning environment.
Keep accurate attendance records for each class.
Ensure safety and well-being of pupils at all times.

Professional Development and Collaboration:
Attend department meetings, working groups, and parent meetings.
Stay informed about new developments in MFL education.
Contribute to departmental initiatives and improvements.

Qualifications:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching certificate.
Proficiency in the relevant foreign language(s).
Strong communication skills and a passion for language teaching.
Familiarity with assessment methods and tracking student progress.
