Hays Education has enjoyed another incredibly busy year supporting secondary schools across Huddersfield, Mirfield, Batley and the surrounding areas, and demand for high-quality English teachers is expected to be just as strong throughout the new academic year!
We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Teachers of English for a range of long-term placements starting from September 2026.
The Opportunity
Working through Hays Education, you'll have access to opportunities in a variety of welcoming and supportive secondary schools where you can make a real difference to students' learning and achievement.
What We're Looking For:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
- ECTs warmly welcomed and encouraged to apply
- Recent experience teaching English Language and/or English Literature at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for inspiring a love of reading, writing and learning
- Competitive pay rates paid to scale
