Art/Textiles Teacher - Brighton

Teacher of Art & Textiles
Location: Brighton & Hove Start: ASAP
Contract: Full‑time, Temporary (initially until February half term, with potential extension)
Hours: 5 days per week + Tutor Group
Salary: Competitive, paid to scale

You will be joining a creative and collaborative department that places a strong emphasis on high‑quality practical learning, experimentation, and developing students’ artistic confidence.

Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Art & Textiles to join the school on a full‑time temporary basis, initially until February half term, with the possibility of extension.

You will:
- Teach Art & Textiles across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity
- Take responsibility for a tutor group, supporting students pastorally
- Contribute to the wider life of a thriving creative faculty
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

What you’ll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Art and/or Textiles at secondary level
- Strong classroom management and a passion for creative subjects
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality, inclusive teaching
