Our strong local relationships mean we can connect you with schools that align with your teaching style, values, and career goals. Your new role

We are currently looking for a full-time Year 4 class teacher to join a welcoming one-form entry primary school in Coventry. This long-term role is to start immediately and is expected to continue until Easter, with the potential for extension. As the sole Year 4 teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessing pupils, supported by a dedicated leadership team and a close-knit staff community.

In this role, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge pupils
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support a positive learning environment
  • Follow the school’s curriculum and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings and school events
  • Embrace the ethos of a small, community-focused school where every child is known and valued

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Confidence in delivering the full primary curriculum with a focus on Year 4
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and classroom management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Availability to start immediately and commit to a full-time role through to Easter

What you'll get in return

  • Pay reflective of your experience and the responsibilities of the role
  • Access to high-quality CPD opportunities and teaching resources
  • A user-friendly system to manage your schedule, leave, and wellbeing
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated Hays consultant who understands your career goals
  • Opportunities to work in schools that match your values and teaching style
  • A £250 referral bonus when you recommend another qualified teacher
