Your new company

With an OFSTED rating of ‘Good’, this school is looking to appoint a temporary year 6 teacher that will be cover for maternity leave. The Year 6 class is well behaved with no major SEN concerns and only 29 pupils with a diverse range of different backgrounds. The school itself places a major emphasis on staff wellbeing and development and an experienced Teaching Assistant will be on hand to assist with the class if or when needed. The School is easily accessible from the Motorway and via public transport.

Your new role

As this will be a full-time role, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of all lessons in your year 6 class. You will be required to plan and deliver the lessons in line with the English national curriculum. The head teacher is looking for a class teacher who is confident within a classroom, and able to hit the ground running, leading from the front and working collaboratively as a key part of the team.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a market leading rate of pay (day rate) for the first 3 months. Upon successful completion of this 3-month period, you will be paid in accordance with the main teacher pay scale, based on your previous teaching roles. Should you choose to take on subject leadership responsibilities, you will receive additional compensation for this.
