Personal Tax Manager opportunity in Worcestershire within a growing, modern independent firm

Your new company

A successful, growing, independent accountancy firm in Worcestershire is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while contributing to the development of the tax team. You’ll be joining a supportive environment working collaboratively with other Managers and with direction from the Head of Tax to ensure high-quality, tailored tax support is provided to clients.

Your new role

As Personal Tax Manager, you will manage and deliver high‑quality personal tax compliance services across a broad and varied portfolio, including individuals, business owners, and trusts. You will oversee the end‑to‑end compliance process, ensuring deadlines are met, and technical standards remain consistently high. You'll review returns completed by members of the wider team and will oversee your own portfolio with a focus on more complex client matters. Additionally, you'll identify tax planning opportunities and, if desired, will have the opportunity to develop your advisory skills by working with more senior members of the firm to deliver projects.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for an experienced personal tax professional with a strong grounding in compliance, ideally with ATT and/or CTA qualifications (or similar). You will be confidently able to manage your own portfolio and review the work of others. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, detail‑focused, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture. It is also important that you are skilled at building trusted client relationships and communicating complex tax matters clearly.

What you'll get in return

Our clients are offering a great benefits package with hybrid and flexible working arrangements, parking, generous holiday allowance, staff pension scheme and ongoing professional development support, including study and CPD. You'll have clear opportunities for progression within a growing team and will work in a supportive, people‑focused working environment with attractive, modern offices and regular team events and a clear well-being strategy in place.
